Pork - All Natural, USDA-Inspected - (Hams, Smoked Sausage, Hot Links, Bone-In Pork Chops, Butterfly Pork Chops, Bacon, Bratwurst, Shaved Ham) from Rose Cottage Farm. This pork is from a lean, rare, heritage breed – the Red Wattle Hog.
Peaches and Lavender Products from Jamison Peaches – White River (white-fleshed, freestone peach), Majestic (yellow-fleshed, freestone peach).
NOTE JAMISON FARMS IS AT THE MARKET MONDAYS AND FRIDAYS – LOU WILL NOT BE AT MARKET WITH HER PEACHES ON WEDNESDAYS!
Fresh Cut Herbs – pineapple sage, basil, rosemary, lemon balm, oregano, sweet-leaf stevia, sage in $1 bundles and smaller; Peppers – Giant Jalapenos, Holy Moley’s (“Pablanos”), Big Daddy McCaroons; Squash – Tennessee Sweet Potato Squash and Pink Banana Squash; from Ronny Stockton McCaskill area; grown without use of synthetic pesticides or fertilizers.
Watermelons (8 varieties – yellow, red and orange-meated), Tomatoes – (yellow and red tomatoes, cherry tomatoes); Potatoes (red Pontiac); grown without use of synthetic pesticides or fertilizers Brenda Slaughter, McCaskill area.
Honey - $5.50/pint and $9.50/quart from Tommy Sherman, Texarkana area.
Watermelon and Cantaloupe, Purple Hull Peas - shelled peas and possibly some unshelled, some Okra from Tommy and Jill Warren.
Top-Pick peas, Hot Peppers , Green and Ripe Tomatoes from Artee Porter.
Hot and Bell Peppers , Cucumbers and Zucchini, some Okra from Mark Amonette.
Farm-Fresh Eggs, Hot (jalapenos) and Bell Peppers , and Worm Castings/Supplies from LTB Farms
Produce Drawing – Drawing is held each Friday at 9:30 am. Don’t forget to register each time you visit the market Mon, Wed and Friday! Last week’s winner was Ellen Ward who won products from the various vendors present Friday, including bacon from Rose Cottage Farm, cantaloupe from Tommy and Jill Warren, watermelon from the Slaughters, peaches from Jamison farms and a hot pepper mix from Artee Porter.
