Nashville Drug Company, Inc.

Nashville Drug Company was established in 1895 and has been a privately held, home-owned business for over a century. Nashville Drug has been meeting the needs of Nashville and the surrounding areas during that time and is now the second oldest pharmacy in Arkansas. It is also one of the two oldest businesses in Howard County.

The store was given a facelift in 2003, restoring the facade and adding a mural on the Howard Street side of the building. The mural depicts a general history of the many agricultural, manufacturing and retail industries that have helped shape not only Nashville, but Howard County.

From the days of the soda fountain and the horseless carriage, Nashville drug has evolved with the times. Prices and circumstances may have changed, but Nashville Drug strives to keep service and dedication to the area's health needs the same.

The staff consists of three registered pharmacists: Mike Pinegar, owner, Clyde Keaster and Sam Floyd, clerks: Juanita White and Vicki Powell, bookkeeper: Jamie Pinegar, delivery: Daniel Robinson, and part-time clerk: Lauren Pinkerton.

The folks at Nashville Drug say they hope to be a vital part of this community for the next 100 years.

Nashville Drug Company is located at 100 South Main Street, Nashville, AR 71852.
